She took the initiative to encourage him to get out of bed and walk at a time when he was afraid to even move in his bed.
I am writing this to express my deepest gratitude to an exceptional nurse who played a significant role in the care of my husband. My husband was admitted to the cardiac intensive care unit due to heart failure. Although we received excellent care from the entire nursing staff, Nurse Elizabeth Challita went above and beyond in several ways:
First: When my husband’s condition was deteriorating and, for an unknown reason, he was losing consciousness even while in bed, Elizabeth provided him with various forms of support, particularly emotional support, to the point that I had to ask the head nurse to assign her to care for him whenever she was on duty.
Second: We heard her repeatedly suggest that he be treated with “Dobutrex,” and indeed, after he started taking this medication, my husband improved significantly within three days.
Third: She took the initiative to encourage him to get out of bed and walk at a time when he was afraid to even move in his bed. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
