Elizabeth Ewers, Midwife

Bereavement midwife Elizabeth Ewers is a truly exceptional health professional. We met Liz in the most awful circumstance, following the delivery of our stillborn son. Liz was so kind, caring, and compassionate, and she made the 2 days I got to spend with my son as comfortable as possible and enabled me to make some especially important and cherished memories with him. I felt I could trust Liz entirely and felt able to go to her when I was struggling mentally. Liz supported me unfailingly - arranged for me to have the right mental health care, and she herself accompanied me to every medical appointment she could through my pregnancy more recently, going well above and beyond what could be expected and providing an excellent level of support. Without Liz, I'm not sure I would have made it through my terrible times - I think of her often and am always so impressed, inspired, and truly touched by her kindness. We named our daughter after her, in honour of the incredibly huge role she played in our journey to parenthood, and she honestly deserves tremendous recognition and acknowledgment for her outstanding bereavement support work.
