My mother had a knee replacement and I have been overjoyed with the excellent service she received. When the 7p-7a shift arrived, I was thrilled to see familiar faces. This was my mother's sixth joint replacement and she's had 3 back surgeries at University Hospital. This is the 1st time since 1995 that I didn't stay with her. That is because of Elizabeth Faison. I have known Liz for 20 years and I prayed she would be working and somehow she would be my mother's nurse. I never leave my mother the 1st night of surgery but because of my confidence in Liz, I rested peacefully. Everyone I encountered during this stay was fantastic, but special thanks to Elizabeth Faison for her kindness, passion, and commitment during this stay for my mother.
