When my mother-in-law was transferred to the Infirmary from North, the staff in 5West ICU were amazing in taking care of their patient and her family. During difficult times, when the family was making life-altering decisions, Gabby took her time and explained the entire process, and what to possibly expect. She never rushed our family and answered all questions we had. She was available for additional questions that we had later as well. She made sure my mother-in-law was comfortable after the decision was made to extubate her. She even stayed past her shift ending the last day they worked with my mother-in-law. Gabby went above and beyond by printing out EKG strips and finger/thumb prints for us to have. As fellow healthcare providers, it warms our hearts to know Gabby was involved in my mother-in-law's care. She was very personable and easy to talk to. My mother-in-law would have loved her. Gabby has a truly caring heart and genuinely cares for their patients and families. We appreciate how comfortable they made us feel.
