Late in the afternoon, a physician called wanting to admit a patient from the clinic for a chemo infusion. We were in the bed meeting trying to determine if there would be a chemo nurse available to assist but night shift staffing was already very low. It would have been very hard to pull a nurse to administer the chemo. Elizabeth volunteered to stay over from her shift to make sure the chemo was given and the patient was taken care of. She ended up staying over four hours after her shift to take care of this patient. She truly has a servant’s heart. 5 West is proud to have her!
