The Adult ED is not where you would typically find a lactation specialist. However, I think I speak for everyone when I say that we are so thankful for Liz.

Liz made herself available during a stressful time in the ED.  Once she arrived, she quickly found a way in which she could help. Liz sat with the patient’s wife for over 30 minutes and provided a comforting distraction while the other medical staff treated her husband.  Once the patient was stabilized, he was transported. Liz remained and walked with the patient’s wife to the waiting area, extending words of comfort and prayers before finally leaving. Liz truly went above and beyond her role and embodied each of the core values of the ministry. Her soothing and calming presence made all the difference.
