Elizabeth Heitkamp 2, RN

I had a c-section at Aiken Regional, and my daughter ended up having glucose issues. The entire time Elizabeth Heitkamp was my nurse, it felt like I had a friend checking on me. I have never received so much love and attention from a nurse before. She wasn't working the night we had our daughter transferred, but she came in that night for another reason; saw that our daughter was in the middle of being transferred and came to my room specifically to give me a hug and give me a supportive talk. I was a complete mess, crying and worried for our daughter, and she took the time, even while not on shift, to assure me our daughter would be okay. I believe she deserves recognition for her over-the-top care she had for us.
