When my son was in the hospital, it was one of the most stressful times in my life. I can't begin to tell you how close we came to him not being here anymore. It was only by God's grace that I had the motherly intuition to do a last check on him before I went to bed. Anyway, to make a long story short, Liz was the nurse who stayed with us during his stay. She even picked up a 4th day in a row so she could be his nightshift nurse. Although I stayed with my son both day and night, it was her watchful and vigilant monitoring of him that allowed me to get at least a few hours of sleep. To say I would trust her with my son's life takes it to a whole other level. Liz works tirelessly to provide the best possible care to all her patients while maintaining a positive attitude and a smile. She has an empathetic heart of gold, and I am so grateful to have her as a coworker and friend who sticks with you when you need it most. I mean, 4 days in a row, now that's some love and dedication. Such a blessing and asset to our floor and this hospital.
