Words honestly can't describe how amazing this young lady was. As an individual in EMS and the Military, I've witnessed and endured a lot of rude medical professionals. Even as a patient myself, I have experienced this. Patient advocacy is important to me.

Though my family member could speak for herself (sometimes), Lisa was very understanding and attentive to my family member when we explained any kind of discomfort or issue, even when it didn’t come from her patient directly. She also advocated on my family member's behalf with Neuro-Surgery. She not only attended to her patient, but she also made sure that my mother and I were comfortable.

I will state again, though I am only an EMT and RNs hold a much higher license than I. Lisa demonstrated outstanding patient care. I am not shaming anybody, but there were certain individuals who did not secure her bed with all four rails after leaving. I understand different levels of care and establishments have separate protocols/SOPs, but this patient was listed as a fall risk, though her "FALL RISK" bracelet was removed after surgery. Therefore, she should be secured via all four rails at all times.

Many staff left the railing secured with only three rails. This patient was extremely unsteady on her feet, and there were times when she fell and was caught by her nurse (who was not Lisa at the time). Lisa ensured that she was secured with all four rails at all times.

Lisa treated my family member with very high respect and care, and was extremely attentive. She reassured my family member that she was not a bother as she continuously apologized for needing help. This is pure professionalism demonstrated by this young lady. Being in EMS, this was beyond outstanding, and I strongly believe this reward should go to this individual.
