I would like to nominate Liz for the DAISY Award after my recent hospital stay. I am 84 years old, and Liz is the best nurse I have ever had in my lifetime. Liz took care of me while I was in the hospital. She took care of everything I needed without fail. She checked on me quite often without me even having to ring my bell. She was the most efficient nurse I’ve ever had. I had questions on my medications; she found out the answers for me and explained why the doctors wanted me on some meds, and why I could not take other medications. Liz helped me answer my phone when I couldn't reach it and communicate with my wife, whom I was unable to reach. I have never felt more cared for by a nurse in any other hospital stay, and I have had several. She really earned my admiration and trust.
