I have been fortunate to be helped by this outstanding nurse. She works in the Cardiac Rehab program at Providence VAMC. I volunteered for this program because of a number of cardiac problems that extended over a period of years. Prior to starting the program, I was diagnosed with needing a pacemaker and open-heart surgery. This was performed in VAMC at West Roxbury. Upon my return, she looked me up and provided me with her expertise in assisting me with cardiac rehab. This was all over and above what could be considered the "call of duty". She followed me through several hospital stays at Providence VAMC, Rhode Island Hospital, and a skilled nursing facility. She is still providing me with her expertise. This is an outstanding service that can only be described as exceptional. Thank you for allowing me the honor of recognizing Elizabeth.
