Having been a patient at Burjeel before, it was an easy decision to return when I developed a cyst that appeared to be an abscess. After all necessary hospital procedures were completed, I underwent a successful day surgery in the General Surgery department under the care of an excellent doctor.

Due to the nature of the wound, it was left open to heal naturally, which began a daily regimen of wound dressings. Over the past few weeks, I’ve met many nurses during my visits. However, one nurse in particular truly stood out. Her caring, kind, approachable, and genuinely friendly attitude left a lasting impression on me. She took the time to explain every detail related to my wound care and made sure I was informed and comfortable throughout.

If she noticed anything unusual, she didn’t hesitate to refer me back to the doctor or surgeon for a thorough evaluation before proceeding with further dressing. Her dedication to patient care has made a significant difference in my healing journey, and I’m truly grateful for her professionalism and compassion, especially considering my age and the location of the wound (my right buttock), which made me feel so shy in front of her, but she made me feel so valued and comfortable.
