Elizabeth Navarro was nominated by a patient’s sister:
This is to acknowledge the outstanding service given by Elizabeth the night my sister died at Trinitas.
Jerlene was special to many people and she was also my sister and friend. I was with her when she passed away and stayed with her until the funeral home came to pick her up. Most of my family left and I was not sure what to do next. Elizabeth explained to me what to do next as far as contacting a funeral home and calling others. She explained things to me in a manner easy to understand. I was extremely impressed with the care she gave my sister in preparing her for the funeral home. She not only explained what she was doing, but she treated my sister in such a caring way while she was alive and even in death. Elizabeth cared for my sister as if it were one of her own family members. As I mentioned it gave me great comfort.
What I saw in Elizabeth that night is not a quality that comes naturally to many people and it should be recognized as something special
