Beth's ability to empower and motivate even the most novice of nurses has been inspiring.
I have had the sincere pleasure to know and work with Beth for the past 12 years. I was immediately impressed with Beth's nursing expertise and the variety of opportunities she had sought to continue her education and understanding of our dynamic healthcare system. Furthermore, I valued Beth's kindness and compassion not only with the patients whom she cared for but also with her colleagues and community members.

Beth's ability to empower and motivate even the most novice of nurses has been inspiring. Beth approached education in her previous role as a nurse practice specialist in labor and delivery as a collective community effort. This allowed the nursing staff an opportunity for ownership in education and fortified the advancement and role clarity of the RN within our department. Working alongside Beth as a staff nurse and watching her develop her own practice as the NPS and now nursing director of BLK 14 has encouraged a myriad of staff to pursue opportunities for clinical advancement, education, and participation in hospital-wide committees.

Her passion for women's health and advocacy for our staff is immeasurable. Beth has truly been a cornerstone of our community, not only in physical presence but also in intrapersonal connections. Beth radiates empathy, kindness, and, above all, wit. As a leader, it is evident that she values deep interpersonal connections with her community. She sheds the labels of the roles we fit into and focuses on what drives us and how to support us best.

If you're facing a personal challenge, she's present for support and is a liaison for resources. If you're stuck on a crafting project, she's got your back with ideas and supplies. If you need a consult on where to travel next, she's your advisor!

Like a lighthouse guides a ship through a foggy storm on rough seas- Beth was our light. What an incredible example she has given us as a new nurse director. She has shown us that even when there are no words to carry us- presence can speak volumes. There is something truly wonderful about watching your peer and friend climb that ladder of staff nurse-nurse educator and now nurse director. She has an innate aptitude for getting the attention and assistance she needs to move our organization forward without inducing any undue stress on community members.
