Ms. Ellie’s compassionate care was only exceeded by her clinical skill. She truly cares about the patient with great empathy and a sense of humor. She knew exactly how to interact with my teenager. She provided direction for him and multiple opportunities for him to demonstrate competency and prepare him for life outside the hospital. There is a lot of real-life practical information. She never rushed him. She gained his trust, giving him diabetic information with confidence, and then tested him to ensure his safety. She is one of the blessings I counted when reflecting on this scary time in our family’s life. She is wonderful, technically sound coupled with a compassionate heart!
