Thank you Liz for all that you do. Your colleagues and patients are forever grateful!
Liz epitomizes all of the qualities that you hope to have in a nurse, and is such an inspiration to those around her. Liz provides exceptional care and support to all of the complex patients that the Long Term Ventilation team care for, and this is shown in the strong rapport and trust that these patients, their families, and their care teams have with her. Be that when she visits them at home, in hospital or in the Ventilation Clinic.
No task is ever too much, and even when it may not be considered part of the job description, Liz will always go above and beyond to ensure that the patient gets what they need. Always advocating for what is best for our vulnerable patients and never seeing barriers in healthcare, forever finding a way to overcome them. As a colleague, you couldn't ask for anyone better: kind, compassionate, and supportive, always having time for everyone. She brings a smile to everyone she comes into contact with.
University Hospitals Leicester are lucky to have such a dedicated, knowledgeable nursing leader who is always striving for best practice and care and pushing the complex ventilation service to be the best that it can be by bringing positivity even in the most difficult of times.
