I had a heart attack and I died at the hospital entrance. The ER Nurse Liz automatically started CPR as I was being wheeled into the hospital. She got my heart going. She saved my life. I want to say thank you for saving my life.

Liz had a patient with multiple injuries who had sedation and after waking up the patient was hungry. The patient requested a peanut butter sandwich, but we only had ham sandwiches to provide. Liz took the time to get a ham sandwich, take off the meat and make a peanut butter sandwich with individual packages of peanut butter. The patient was very thankful and greatly enjoyed her peanut butter sandwich. Liz could have very easily told the patient "sorry we only have ham sandwiches", but she took the time to get the patient what they wanted. This is the type of compassion and dedication we strive for as nurses. I'm grateful for the opportunity to work beside Liz and get to witness this extraordinary behavior.
