My brother has Fragile X, which causes him great anxiety with medical procedures. So much so, that his PET scan was scheduled with anesthesia. Nurse Sauder was phenomenal! She was so kind to my brother from the moment we walked in the door. When the time came for the actual scan, she asked if we might consider trying it without anesthesia. My brother was willing to try. I could hear Nurse Sauder talking to him the entire time of the scan. They were able to get the scan without anesthesia and the added medical risks. We are so very thankful for Nurse Sauder and her great kindness and compassion!
