A patient arrived on 2 North from the ED following a motor vehicle accident. She was feeling scared and exposed, as EMS had to cut her clothes off, and she was particularly distressed about not having her hijab. Elizabeth fashioned a hijab from the patient's clothes and placed it over the patient, who stated she instantly felt better. Elizabeth then told the patient she was going to go home and do research online to figure out how to correctly place a hijab on someone so that the next time she is called to help a patient she would know the correct way. Elizabeth exemplifies everything a nurse should be, and we are very proud that she is a part of the 2 North team.

Elizabeth has exceeded expectations when it comes to being perceptive and mentoring new staff. She has compassion for her patients and treats them like her family. We are so very lucky to have Liz here as a nurse.
