Elizabeth Stoll

It is with honor and great enthusiasm that I nominate Elizabeth Stoll for the DAISY Award. She consistently exemplifies the core values of compassionate, culturally sensitive, and patient-centered care in every clinical setting. One such instance comes to mind that truly sets her apart from other nursing students. While on the mental health unit, students encountered a client who was going through a very hard situation. She went above and beyond this day to ensure the client felt seen, valued, and cared for. After spending most of the day with the client, Elizabeth took the initiative to ask if the client would like to get washed up. She helped the client brush their hair and get ready for the day-- an act that, while seemingly small, had a profound impact. Through her kindness, patience, and respect, she helped the client feel more human and dignified during a time when they were particularly vulnerable. Her attentiveness and gentle encouragement made a visible difference. By the end of the clinical day, the client's demeanor and overall attitude had significantly improved,
