May 2014 Honoree
elizabeth syphus, RN
Liz has been my day shift nurse for two days now. I have a fear of hospitals and medical procedures after a personal emergency episode where I almost died four years ago.
Liz doesn't even know this, but she is always smiling, pleasant, remembers my preferences (Miralax in cranberry juice over ice!), my dislikes, and tries to help me feel as comfortable as possible.
She has even offered to help be my advocate when the doctor rounds today, and I have some important questions that I'm nervous to ask.
She deserves the DAISY Award like none other. Thank you, Liz.

Thank you, Elizabeth, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
