I would like to nominate Elizabeth for the DAISY Award because of the unwavering support, compassion, and leadership she demonstrates every day. As a nurse leader, Elizabeth consistently checks in with every nurse on the unit—not just during rounds, but throughout the shift. Her presence alone brings a sense of calm and reassurance. Even when the unit is heavy and stressful, Elizabeth somehow makes it feel manageable. She steps in to help when needed, advocates for the staff, and ensures we never feel alone in the chaos. Her positive energy is contagious, and it lifts the entire team. Most importantly, Elizabeth truly understands what nurses go through. She listens without judgment, responds with empathy, and makes you feel heard and valued. Her leadership style is rooted in kindness, respect, and a genuine desire to see every nurse thrive. Elizabeth exemplifies what it means to lead with heart, and our unit is better because of them.
