Elizabeth Torres, LPN

The front desk staff advised that a patient was in the public restroom needing help. The patient had soiled clothes and was in need of personal cleaning supplies and clean clothes. Elizabeth not only took supplies to the patient, but she also took pails of soapy water and cleaned the patient thoroughly. The patient kept apologizing, and Elizabeth assured her that it was her job to care for her and made a very personal connection in the process. The patient got completely bathed and clean clothes in a very thoughtful, compassionate manner, not just getting wipes and clothes handed to her to do it herself. Elizabeth went above and beyond to make this patient feel comfortable and cared for in the outpatient care setting.
