I was admitted to the hospital with the diagnosis of COVID with symptoms that frightened me. I was crying and feeling alone and could not have visitors. Despite all the stigma and fears associated with this virus, Nurse Liz came into the room and stayed with me, wearing all of her uncomfortable PPE, listened to all my fears, and was calm and professional, nonjudgmental. She was reassuring and encouraging. I will never forget all the kindness and care, she is very deserving of the DAISY Award!
