Liz has been helping the department with their computer charting to make it user friendly and department specific. She has helped the staff members individually and serves on the committee that is working on the changes. She is a very caring and compassionate nurse.

She works well with children and I have seen her comfort many a child that is scared or hurting. She gets to their eye level and touches their heads and softly talks to them reassuring them that they will be okay. She took aside a student that was job shadowing and helped her cope with the sudden and tragic death of a child explaining to her what was happening and why the staff did the things they were doing to help this child. She also stayed with the student until she felt better after witnessing the trauma unfold and the student was able to see the staff care for the parents and wrap the child in a blanket for the mother to hold and say good bye to her toddler.

Liz has a knack for knowing when you need help and she is right there to pitch right in and do what needs to be done. She is a great nurse and is willing to help others in trading so staff can enjoy chances to be with their families on holidays or sports. She is a team player and an advocate for the patients as well as staff.
