Ellen was responsible for my care a few times.  Every time she had my room, no matter how busy or how frustrating the day was, she’d slow down and explain any questions I had and told me everything she knew about my care if anything changed.

She even would stop and do a mental and emotional check-in for me.  After I had a spinal procedure done, I cried for 3 hours, but Ellen advocated for me until I got the help I needed, even if it meant cutting it close to shift change.

She made me feel prioritized.  She made me feel heard and reassured me.  She was advocating and moving as quickly to make me comfortable.  Again, hospital stays are very difficult, and she made me feel important, validated my pain, and prioritized my mental health with our little check-ins.  She’d even come in with my new nurse to make sure all bases were covered.  That’s going above and beyond.  Thank you, Ellen!

Thank you, Ellen, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
