Upon admission, Ellen Dekold was my first nurse. She immediately made me feel calmer and reassured me all would be ok. This 11-day stay was my first ever and I am blessed of this nurse being part of my recovery team. Her smile, great attitude, energy, knowledge and most importantly, her extreme confidence. She explained each injection, medicine or antibiotic change and helped me learn also. I am supposed to be my advocate and she helped find answers. She mentioned how she is still going to school to further her education which helps you and others along her way. She is a gift to the nursing profession.
