Ellen is a fabulous nurse! She had a patient last week who was being discharged home to Southern California. The patient had a closed head injury and was not able to make his own transportation arrangements. Ellen took time from her busy day to help him find a flight to L.A. and buy tickets. She also got him a taxi to the bus that would take him to the airport. This whole process took about 3 hours. I was so impressed with her determination and caring compassion for his well being and him getting there safely.

Ellen is always going above and beyond for her patients. This is just one example of many. She is caring, loving and has more compassion in her heart than most people have. Her patients always have great things to say about her. She is a great asset to our unit and our hospital. She tries so hard every day and always gives great care. She takes time to teach her patients and include family members. The patient that was discharged was greatly appreciative of her great care.
