Ellen cared for my son many of the days during our stay. She truly demonstrates the compassion, professionalism, and kindness that it takes to be an exceptional nurse. She cared for my son (and me) like we were family. She recognized how hard it was to see my infant undergo multiple IVs and how exhausted I was. She brought me Starbucks coffee and coffee cake early one morning after an exceptionally hard night. She revived me! Ellen would chat with me when she had an extra 5 minutes - a small conversation goes a long way when you're hospitalized for 10 days! She laughed and cried with me and took beautiful care of my son. Thank you, Ellen. You are truly exceptional!
