Ellen Melton, RN
Ellen was a wonderful nurse to my family during the time of my dad’s stay there. This was the first time in a while that my brother and I had been able to see him, and the prognosis was not very positive. Ellen went over and beyond in order to make sure that Dad was comfortable and my brother and I were aware of everything happening and taken care of. We moved Dad to hospice while there, and when the EMTs came to get Dad, it was a very emotional time. Before Dad was transferred and because we had discussed our faith and religion during the time she had been in the room with us, Ellen prayed with us for Dad and our family. She was with us every step of the way before leaving for the last time after Dad had been taken to hospice care. When Ellen told us goodbye, it was also a very emotional time. This has been a very emotional time for our family on top of all the regulations that COVID presents as well. Having someone as caring and empathetic as Ellen during our stay really meant a lot to us.
