After I had brain surgery to remove a tumor, Ellen took time to give my elderly parents the attention they needed to understand my needs post-op. She treated my family as well as me and made this whole ordeal much easier to manage. She never seemed too busy to do teaching, explaining everything she was doing, and did it all in a professional and friendly manner. She knew we were all scared but she was able to lessen the fear of going home by helping to coordinate PT, home care, etc. I know nurses have several patients to care for each day, but Ellen made me feel like I was her top priority. I probably wasn't her sickest patient, but none the less I got her special attention and I am now home recovering. I thank her so much.
