Ellen Powell is a nurse that I dream and pray for especially on the night shift. She's compassionate, considerate, and respectful. In addition to this, she listens to me and maintains the manner of a consummate professional. Ellen realized that I was a complex patient and took the time to collaborate with me to ensure she understood my needs and requirements in order to provide the best possible care. She displayed partnership, high-level thinking, communication, and listening skills by planning around my sleep cycles. She clearly understands that if I don't get sleep it will compound my illness into a full-blown crisis within 48 hours.
In short, Ellen and I have cultivated a relationship with care and mutual respect. I feel at ease with Ellen, and as a result, my recovery is expedited.
