Ellie Raduns, BSN, RN

Ellie had the inpatient holds in four ED rooms. Around 10:00 am, I was rounding on the unit when they got hit with four critical patients at once. We had a patient in SVT we were checking on. Ellie came into that room to ask how she could help, jumping right in. Then, EMS brought in a respiratory distress patient at the same time. Other staff were engaged in this patient's care. J from PAR came back to the nurse's station saying we had a patient needing help in the lobby who had been mauled by a pit bull. Ellie, without hesitation, went straight out to help this woman out and proceeded to check her while I got the doctor. We together helped stabilize this patient. She is a huge team player and is always looking to grow her knowledge and skills. Ellie is a compassionate, hardworking, and knowledgeable nurse. PMC is lucky to have her on the team!
