My 80-year-old father was boarded in the Emergency Department due to capacity issues. He was lucky enough to have Ellie Rowe as his nurse during the days of his stay. Due to a multitude of ailments: two triple bypasses, rectal cancer, ileostomy, seton drain, and recent TAVR, he is not an easy patient and has many health issues going on. My father could not say enough positive things about Ellie and the amazing care she provided; in addition to her genuine personality and hospitality in his words, he said, "She is the best nurse I have ever had; she is competent, precise, knowledgeable, and fun to have around." Having spent the majority of time with my father during his stay, I agree 100%. I have worked with nurses on a daily basis for several years; Ellie ranks amongst the best I have had the pleasure of knowing. Watching her care for my father truly warmed my heart. She cared for him with the compassion and care of a family member. Ellie truly is extraordinary and a wonderful asset to UCHealth, Poudre Valley Hospital. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
