Ellie Santo is an amazingly compassionate person and an amazing nurse. She is kind and caring. Recently she cared for a homeless veteran. Not only did she provide amazing clinical care, she also went above and beyond what anyone could have expected. During his stay in the hospital when Ellie was not at work, she was making him a handmade quilt that honored his service as a veteran. Ellie not only cares for her patient's medical needs, she cares for their emotional needs and celebrates their humanity and service. She is a true DAISY Nurse.
