During our stay, my son and I were watching a movie, Ellis came in and asked him if he was having chest pain or shortness of breath. She was seeing something on his heart monitor. He was immediately connected to a 12 lead EKG and the ST elevations were as severe so they seem on the 3rd lead. One of the other staff tried to explain to me what was happening and I got confused and overwhelmed. Ellis saw that she came over to me and knelt down in front of me to explain that the origination of high heartbeat wasn't beginning in the SA mode, it was beginning somewhere else in the RA. It was still okay and that he was fine. That little bit of time she took eased my mind and gave me peace at the moment.

Ellis is extraordinary. She always comes in with a smile, high energy, and a hug. She knew I needed that somehow. Our stay at Children's was much easier and brighter because of Ellis.

She is truly the best and we love her! Not to mention, she showered my son with goldfish (crackers)! He loves them and thought that was hilarious!
