Ellyn was my nurse when I came in for a procedure. From the time I was in the room for pre-op to when I returned she treated me in every way like I was her only patient. She made sure I was comfortable and was constantly checking back in while I was recovering. She approached the patient in the room across from me the exact same way, checking in on them to make sure they were okay.
Before Ellyn came to Ambulatory Care I witnessed this same kind of interaction, care, and compassion with patients she dealt with in her other unit. My definition of a great nurse is someone who treats everyone with compassion, respect, and great individual care, and Ellyn knocks it out of the park.
