Elsa may have saved my life. I came in through the ER and was admitted for pneumonia. After 3 days of antibiotics, my breathing and oxygen saturation wasn't much better. There was some discussion about sending me home with oxygen.
Elsa was not satisfied with not knowing why I still needed oxygen because I had no prior history of needing it. Elsa persisted on my behalf for a CT scan. The CT scan was done around 7:00 pm that night which revealed a large blood clot on the two main arteries of my lungs. Without Elsa's persistence and advocacy, I quite likely would have gone home and died. Elsa will forever be part of my miracle story.
