The gift she gave me was a lasting memory of my brother being at peace as he passed.
Elyce took care of my brother when he was in the Medical ICU on a ventilator.  The whole family understood there was no hope for his recovery.

Despite the circumstances that brought my brother to the hospital and the “family drama” Elyce had to deal with, her empathy, compassion, and caring were beyond what any of us could have ever imagined and will be long remembered.  Her willingness to answer our endless questions, explain what was happening, and keep us updated was so appreciated.  It struck me how every time she did something with him, I could hear her tell him what was going on (even though he probably never heard/understood).  My brother passed very peacefully, and Elyce played a big part in that.  When he showed signs of distress, she was right there and administered something to ease his discomfort.  The gift she gave me was a lasting memory of my brother being at peace as he passed.

Maya Angelou once said, “Try to be a rainbow in someone’s cloud.”   Elyce didn’t “try,” she “was” the rainbow!

While Elyce is who we interacted with the most, I want you to also know the entire medical staff was incredible and so appreciated!
