Elyse Durben, BSN, RN

I had surgery and when I woke up in Recovery I was greeted by Elyse. She let me know where I was and what was going on. She was very concerned about my pain level, nausea and was doing everything she could to get me the medication I needed. While the Recovery Room was extremely busy, she kept her focus on me and not on the things that were going on around her. She was sweet enough to call my spouse and let him know what was going on. She made sure I was comfortable and my pain was eased, then she made me feel at home by having a personal conversation with me. While I know this isn’t her only job, I want her to know how amazing she was and I hope she succeeds in school. Elyse was a wonderful, caring, and compassionate nurse. She not only took care of me “her patient”, but she also lent a hand to her co-workers when needed. The nurse field needs more people like Elyse.
