She is excellent at building rapport with patients and will frequently come out of a patient room excited to share some interesting tidbits about the patient's interests or hobbies.
Elyse is a phenomenal nurse who is so dedicated to the EUCs. She has been the chair for our senate and very involved in our shared (professional) governance process for the past couple of years. She has been working hard to inspire others in the EUCs to get as passionate as she is about driving change and has single-handedly started UBCs for the metro sites. Her patient care is phenomenal, and she always has a smile on her face. During times of stress or overwhelm in the department, she will help to break the tension by starting a thirty-second dance party and never lets the patients see if she is frustrated. She is excellent at building rapport with patients and will frequently come out of a patient room excited to share some interesting tidbits about the patient's interests or hobbies. She is a wonderful nurse, and we are so lucky to have her on our team.

Elyse is all in on Professional Governance and has really steered the EUCs on track toward this goal. She’s attended several nursing conferences to increase her knowledge and become a subject matter expert in her role as EUC Senate Chair. She goes above and beyond to engage the employees at each EUC and encourages collaboration. She’s sparked interest in the development of Unit-Based Council at several of our EUCs and continues to engage the more reluctant teams. She is resourceful and a great communicator, always asking questions about ways she can better engage and deliver. She reaches out frequently to leadership for feedback, guidance, and support in a professional and appropriate manner. Elyse goes absolutely above and beyond in this role, and we are absolutely blessed to have her with us to support the Professional Governance model here in the EUCs. Thank you, Elyse.
