My daughter is Diabetic with irregular and uncontrolled blood sugar. She was referred to the Insulin Therapy Clinic. Sister Eman received her with pleasure and a charming bright smile.
I don't know how she did it, but my daughter turned from a stubborn teenage girl with little or no response to doctors' advice to accepting her disease and treatment and getting her blood sugar controlled.
Whenever I visit the hospital with my daughter, I always see Sister Eman hugging diabetic teenagers, advising them, and getting them to see that insulin injections and home glucose monitoring are very easy tasks.
I have seen her bear difficulties with older patients both male and female. She teaches them how to manage whatever is their line of treatment. She jokes with them and always boosts everyone's morale regarding their disease and gets them to accept it and see beyond it.
I was hoping to give her a big gift but when I saw this DAISY Award, I thought this is the opportunity to express my love, respect, and appreciation to an efficient sister. She is just an amazing nurse whom I admire. I am always praying for her.
