On behalf of my wife, heartfelt thanks are extended to the extraordinary nurses, aides, physicians, and all members of the care team who walked alongside her through so many years of illness.

The AdventHealth Castle Rock Emergency Department became a place of refuge for us, where skill, compassion, and calm professionalism were consistently woven together on every visit. From the moment of arrival to the moment of discharge, my wife was treated promptly, gently, and safely, and the respect shown to her brought great comfort to our family during some of our most difficult days.

Although many of you knew my wife primarily as a patient and not as the deeply giving, joyful, and loving woman she was in everyday life, you cared for her as if you had known her forever. Your kindness, patience, and attentiveness allowed me to trust that she was receiving the very best care each time we passed through your doors.

My wife’s health battles came to an end with a hemorrhagic stroke, and she peacefully left this life in your care. Though there is now tremendous emptiness in my heart, there is also real consolation in knowing that every possible effort was made to help her recover and that she was surrounded by people dedicated to her comfort and dignity.

I believe that she now rests safely in God’s hands, and that faith is strengthened by the knowledge that, here on earth, she was so well looked after by all of you.

Thank you for everything you did for my wife and for the countless others who rely on your skill and compassion in their own moments of crisis. The community is truly blessed to have the AdventHealth Castle Rock Emergency Department, and there is no doubt that those who come under your care will receive the same exceptional, heartfelt treatment that my wife did.
