Cardiac Case patient came by Red Crescent managed in ER and cardiology Consultant came and stabilized the patient .. Cardiac Cath was done at the same time to save the life of the patient with 20 minutes in Cardiac Cath unit. Doctors and patient appreciated the immediate response of the team while managing critical patients.
Neurologic case arrived by Red Crescent CVA case, with no response and with left-sided weakness. Code 4 activated and the Neurology doctor at the same time. Stabilized the patient and all the emergency medication (Actilase was given to the patient). The patient was recommended admission, but the patient refused since he felt well, and he revived within an hour without weakness and returned to his conscious level. The patient appreciated the whole team for avoiding him to be in Stroke status.
Cardiac case came direct to ER accompanied by relatives who announced Code Blue, patient was intubated and ventilated, shifted to ICU revived, and after a while, the patient was discharged in good condition. Went back to the hospital and appreciated the Team.
Stabbed wound patient came to ER and surgical intervention was done and the patient was discharged home after 5 days without any complications. The patient came back to the ER and appreciated the whole team for saving his life.
Unit Achievement: 6 beds Open in ER specifically for Paediatric cases. Opening of resuscitation room with 3 beds and 3 crash carts. A new medication room for the pediatric area was implemented. ER staff submitted accurate KPI since there was a good improvement in ER documentation. ER staff chosen for Batterjee award (Mr. Hassan Mikati) for the 2nd quarter of 2022 ER staff of one of the nominees of DAISY Award (Mr. Mohamed Almaee) for the 1st Quarter 2022 Consistent in the Nursing Standard Practice with the Doctors orders and verification. Compliance with the educational training sessions. Improved in the compliance for the IPSG no.1 (Patient Identification). New room for Medical triage implemented. Extended the procedure area by additional 2 beds including the phlebotomy area to shorten the patient journey. A new pantry for ER staff was arranged to provide staff satisfaction. Improved ER Press Ganey Satisfaction.
