Emilee took care of my boys after their delivery. One twin had some issues and my hemoglobin was very low. Needless to say, I was very worried about them. My family said she took excellent care of twin B when he was born. Her assessment skills made her aware immediately that my baby had low glucose. My family said she immediately took charge and fed him. Then all day she came to my room and checked my baby's sugar. She educated us very well on the signs and symptoms of low glucose. She would take them to the nursery for checks but then would bring them back if she could so we could feed them. She always kept us involved in the care of them. And when we thought baby A was going to get an IV and have to stay in the nursery, I became upset. She eased my fears.
She took care of baby A and B for three days. I knew each day I had nothing to worry about when she came to get them. She let me know everything the doctors did and said about my babies. She also made sure I had everything I needed for my care. She was very sweet, caring and intelligent. She is what I want to be when I get out of nursing school. I would let her take care of my babies any day.
