January 2024 Honoree
Emilee L Bird, MS, RN, APRN, ACNS-BC
Atrium Medical Center embarked on the monumental task of trying to correct a huge gap in education for our RNs and PCTs that was a direct result of the pandemic, limiting the educational experiences made available. This was leading to issues in care delivery and needed to be corrected. Having the knowledge and expertise to develop a program and coordinate implementation, Emilee selflessly stepped up to lead the efforts of rebuilding our education program. She spent countless hours working with various other leaders in our system, physicians, and our leadership team to first develop a gap analysis. Emilee then formed a committee of various care team experts and began the near-impossible task of closing that gap by creating a program from the ground floor that would be impactful to those who participated. Emilee displayed tremendous leadership agility to navigate such a difficult road in a very short period. The impact and influence of her work have led to the betterment of hundreds of our employees. Additionally, the impact of this education on the patietns who then received this enhanced care is countless.
Thank you, Emilee L, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
