I was brought to Kaiser Permanente in Santa Rosa as an emergency patient with a complex fracture of my right femur. I was traveling with my wife on a driving trip from Minneapolis, Minnesota when I fell in a hotel parking lot. It was difficult to be in such pain and be so far from home.

Emilie Smith made me feel right at home right away. She took a personal interest in me and aggressively managed my pain. She took special care to support me and my wife emotionally. She is exceptionally knowledgeable, kind, and caring. She’s the best example of an outstanding nurse.
