Having to receive long-term care as a result of being hit by a car is never fun. However, all the nurses at the Hospital for Special Surgery go above and beyond to make me feel better, supported, and distract the hospital vibe. Every Nurse in the unit was amazing, but Emilie Taus stands out to me. Emilie always exceeds her duties as a Nurse. Her clinical expertise is apparent in everything she does. She is also a professional at making me feel relaxed and well-informed. She answers questions in a way that makes me feel validated for asking any question. She also takes time to remember my husband’s name and ask how he is doing when he is not present. I know Emilie makes other patients smile just like she makes me smile. I’m so grateful for her commitment to being the best Nurse possible every single day.
