This RN has displayed extraordinary compassion, assessment skills, and patient advocacy. She went out of her way to provide extra comfort measures when I was in pain, such as hot tea for my sore throat, a massage, and hot packs for my painful shoulder and arm, and distraction techniques. She caught two medication errors, and when the pharmacy sent the wrong medication, she quickly recognized their mistake and promptly had the correct medication sent. She took excellent care of my skin and other systems with real compassion. She is a gifted RN who made a special connection with me through her strong interpersonal skills and critical thinking. I feel uniquely qualified to recommend her, as I was a former RN at this hospital and have been a patient here many times. This is my second night with her as my nurse, and her technical skills are excellent. PS: She just started a new IV on me at the change of shift and was the only nurse to get on the first try, with zero pain, an excellent position.
