Emily takes exceptional care of her patients, but also orients and trains new staff. She is one of the sharpest nurses on the unit and a nurse who remains calm during emergencies. Emily has the amazing ability to establish excellent rapport with her patients while balancing critical care tasks and education. She is a strong advocate for her patients, but does so with a soft, approachable style. Emily is an asset to the NCCU and is deserving of the DAISY Award for all that she does for her patients and fellow staff.
